This property was a Listed Building in a Conservation area. Our client’s wish was to create a contemporary extension and provide additional accommodation for a large family, for them all to have their separate spaces, but ultimately reconvene in the new extension.
As a result, the extension utilises black zinc cladding, large frameless sliding doors under a flat roof, which
created a contrast of old and new, showcasing the evolution of the building.
Internally, the ground floor provides a kitchen/dining/living space that brings together the family while overlooking the gardens.
